TheAssistant Treasurer of Australia is theminister of state of theCommonwealth of Australia charged with assisting theTreasurer with overseeing government revenue collection, federal expenditure and economic policy as the head of theDepartment of the Treasury. The current assistant treasurer is The Hon.Daniel Mulino MP, who was appointed byPrime MinisterAnthony Albanese in May 2025 following the2025 Australian federal election. Mulino also serves asMinister for Financial Services.
