Asparuh "Paro"Donev Nikodimov (Bulgarian:Аспарух Донев Никодимов; born 21 August 1945) is a Bulgarian formerfootball player and coach.
He representedBulgaria[1] at the FIFA World Cups in1970 and1974.[2]
Nikodimov began playing football at the age of 16 in the youth team ofSeptemvri Sofia, where he played until he joinedCSKA Sofia at the age of 19.[3]
In 1964 Nikodimov joinedCSKA Sofia. During his time at CSKA, he won many honours, including sixA PFG titles and fiveBulgarian Cups. He played 296 league matches, scoring 58 goals for 11 seasons.[4]
Nikodimov ended his career in 1978, playing forSliven.
Nikodimov began his managerial career withCSKA Sofia in 1979, guiding them to four consecutive league titles.
Nikodimov is married to Svetla and has two daughters who arevolleyball players. One of them is married to the volleyball coach of CSKA SofiaAlexander Popov.[5]
