Asokan Charuvil is an Indian short story writer inMalayalam-language. He is a recipient of several awards including theKerala Sahitya Akademi Award andMuttathu Varkey Award.[2]

Born in 1957 in Kattoor inTrichur district of Kerala, he completed his education fromKaralam High School,SN College, Nattika and SN Teachers Education Institution,Irinjalakuda.[3] He was an officer in the registration department and was a member of the Kerala Public Service Commission.[4] From 2018, he is the general secretary ofPurogamana Kala Sahitya Sangham.[5]
