Articles of Schwabach

Beginning in July 1529,[1]Philipp Melanchthon, along withMartin Luther and probablyJustus Jonas, wrote theArticles of Schwabach (German:Artikel von Schwabach, so named because they were presented at the Convention ofSchwabach on 16 October of the same year),[1] as a confession of faith with otherWittenberg theologians. Material from this document was later incorporated into theAugsburg Confession written by Philipp Melanchthon in 1530.[2]
