Not to be confused withArthur Blok.

Arthur Bloch (born January 1, 1948) is an American writer, author of theMurphy's Law books.[1] He has also written a self-help satire calledHealing Yourself with Wishful Thinking.[2] From 1986 to 2002 he was the producer and director of theThinking AllowedPBS television series.[3]

The proper title of the book isMurphy's Law, and Other Reasons Why Things Go Wrong!. The wordwrong is printed upside-down on the book's cover.[4] This was the first of many Murphy's Law books.[5]
