Artanes (Ancient Greek:Ἀρτάνης) was a coastal town ofancient Bithynia located on thePontus Euxinus at the mouth of the Artanes River (the modernTürknil Nehri). There was a port and a temple ofVenus.
Its site is located nearŞile inAsiatic Turkey.[1][2]
