Arquímides Rafael Zacarías Ordóñez (born August 5, 2003) is a professionalfootballer who plays as aforward forUSL Championship clubLoudoun United. Born in the United States, he plays for theGuatemala national team.
Born inCincinnati,Ohio, Ordóñez began his career with youth soccer clubs Kings Hammer Academy and Cincinnati United Premier.[2] In 2016, he joined the youth academy atMajor League Soccer clubColumbus Crew. He stayed with the club until 2019 when he joined the youth squad atFC Cincinnati for their inaugural season as a program.[3]
On July 3, 2021, due to performances with the youth squad, Ordóñez signed a professionalhomegrown player deal withFC Cincinnati on a three-year deal.[2] He made his competitive debut for the club on July 24, coming on as a substitute in a 3–0 away defeat againstNashville SC.[4]
Ordóñez scored his first career goal for FC Cincinnati in aU.S. Open Cup match versusLouisville City FC on April 26, 2023.[5]
On April 4, 2024, Ordóñez was loaned to SwedishSuperettan sideÖstersund for the remainder of their 2024 season. Östersund would retain an option to make the deal permanent.[6] Cincinnati declined his contract option at the end of the 2024 season.[7]
On February 9, 2025, Ordóñez joinedMoldovan Super Liga sideZimbru Chișinău on a free transfer, signing a one-year contract.[8][9] He scored a hat-trick on his debut for the club against EFA Visoca in a 5–3 victory in theCupa Moldovei Round of 16.[10]
Ordóñez returned to the United States on August 6, 2025, joiningUSL Championship sideLoudoun United on a deal until the end of the 2026 season.[11]
Ordóñez played for theGuatemalan U-20 team at the2022 CONCACAF U-20 Championship, scoring five goals in six appearances, and was named to the tournament's Best XI for his efforts.[12]
In May 2023 he was named to the U-20 squad for the2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.[13][14]
In September 2022, Ordóñez was called up to theGuatemalan senior team ahead of two international friendlies againstColombia andHonduras.[15] He made his debut on September 24 in the first match against Colombia.[16]
