TheWeightlifting Federation of Armenia (WFA) (Armenian:Հայաստանի ծանրամարտի ֆեդերացիա), is the regulating body ofweightlifting inArmenia, governed by theMinistry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and theArmenian Olympic Committee. The headquarters of the federation is located inYerevan.[1]

The Federation was established in 1922 and the current president is Arayik Harutyunyan. The Federation is a full member of theInternational Weightlifting Federation and theEuropean Weightlifting Federation.[2]
Armenian weightlifting athletes participate in theWorld Weightlifting Championships, theEuropean Weightlifting Championships, as well asweightlifting at the Summer Olympics.
On 21 April 2022, it was announced the 2023European Weightlifting Championships would be held in Armenia.[3] TheChampionships were held in Yerevan from 15 to 23 April 2023.
