Armando Riesco (/riˈɛskoʊ/) is a Puerto Rican actor.
Riesco is the son of Cuban immigrants. He was raised inSan Juan, Puerto Rico where he attendedColegio San Ignacio de Loyola. He then attendedNorthwestern University in Illinois. After graduating, he relocated toNew York City where he began to work in local and off-Broadway productions as well as film, television, video games and commercials.
Many of Riesco's film roles have been in critically acclaimedindependent films such asPieces of April starringKatie Holmes,Garden State starringNatalie Portman, andAdult World, starringJohn Cusack andEmma Roberts.
He has also appeared in major Hollywood films includingNational Treasure,Oliver Stone'sWorld Trade Center, Spike Lee's25th Hour, andFever Pitch, starringJimmy Fallon andDrew Barrymore.
In addition to his film work, Riesco has had roles on such popular drama series asRoyal Pains andLaw & Order. In 2006, he was also a regular cast member on theCBS medical drama3 lbs., starringStanley Tucci. He had a recurring role, playing Pecas, inSeason 3 ofQueen of the South. He is also known for his work as a series regular on the Showtime seriesThe Chi.[1] He reprises the role of Agent Hendricks from theNational Treasure movies inNational Treasure: Edge of History onDisney+.[2]
Riesco lives inNew York City, and frequently collaborates with writer director Jason Chaet. Their first feature filmSeneca won several Film Festival awards and was picked up byHBO Max in 2019.[citation needed] They are in pre production for a second feature film titledMeri Crismas to be shot inPuerto Rico.[citation needed]
