TheArizona Complex League Giants are aprofessional baseball team competing as aRookie-level affiliate of theSan Francisco Giants in theArizona Complex League ofMinor League Baseball. The team plays its home games atScottsdale Stadium inScottsdale, Arizona. The team is composed mainly of players who are in their first year ofprofessional baseball either asdraftees or non-draftedfree agents from theUnited States,Canada,Dominican Republic,Venezuela, and other countries.
The team first competed in theArizona League from 1991 to 1994, then was absent from the league until 2000.[3] The team has been a member of the league continuously since 2000, fielding two squads in the league since 2018.[3] The two squads are differentiated by Black and Orange suffixes.[3] Prior to the 2021 season, the Arizona League was renamed as theArizona Complex League (ACL).
The team played select games at their parent club's former minor league clubhouse at Indian School Park in Scottsdale up to 2019.[citation needed] Presently, select games are played at the Papago Park Baseball Complex in Phoenix where the recently built Giants Player Development Center is located (completed in 2022).[4]
