Arizona's 2nd legislative district is one of 30 in the state, consisting of a section ofMaricopa County. As of 2023, there are 48 precincts in the district, all in Maricopa, with a total registered voter population of 131,648.[1] The district has an overall population of 246,674.[2]

Following the2020 United States redistricting cycle, theArizona Independent Redistricting Commission (AIRC) redrew legislative district boundaries in Arizona. According to the AIRC, the district is highly competitive politically.[3]

The district is represented in the56th Arizona State Legislature, which convenes from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024, byShawnna Bolick (R-Phoenix) in theArizona Senate and byJudy Schwiebert (D-Phoenix) andJustin Wilmeth (R-Phoenix) in theArizona House of Representatives.[4][5]

Shawnna Bolick was appointed to the Senate to fill the seat afterSteve Kaiser resigned.[6]
