Argyll, Bute and South Lochaber is aconstituency of theHouse of Commons in theUK Parliament.[2] Further to the completion of the2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it was first contested at the2024 general election, since when it has been held byBrendan O'Hara of theScottish National Party, who had been MP for the predecessor seat ofArgyll and Bute from 2015 to 2024.
The vast majority of the new constituency comprises the area of the abolished constituency ofArgyll and Bute, which was coterminous withArgyll and Bute Council, and comprises the following wards:[3]
In order to meet the electorate size requirements, the following area of theHighland Council has been added from the abolished constituency ofRoss, Skye and Lochaber:
