Arabic rock describes a wide variety of forms of music made in theArab world. Although no major Arabic rock bands existed before the year 2000, thealternative music scene boomed afterwards with the creation of popular bands.[1] WhileJadaL is best known to be the starters of the Arabic Rock and Arab indie music movement, being the first to officially adopt the Arabic Rock genre name in specific, many Arab musicians have adopted musical forms foreign to Arab culture, likerock music, and have attempted toarabize them.[2][3]
