On 14 April 2023, onEastern Orthodox ChristianGood Friday, a Russianmissile strike struck residential buildings inSloviansk, Ukraine, during theRussian invasion of Ukraine.[3][4][1] 15 civilians were killed and 24 were injured.[2] 34 apartment buildings, administrative buildings, and shops were damaged in the blasts.[3]
Ukrainian PresidentVolodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack, noting that it shows Russia's cruelty since it was carried out during the religious holiday ofEaster.[3]
