Apodemini is atribe ofmuroidrodents in the subfamilyMurinae.[1][2] It contains two extant genera, one found throughoutEurasia and the otherendemic to theRyukyu Islands. Severalfossil genera are also known from throughout Eurasia, including one large species (Rhagamys) that persisted onSardinia andCorsica up until at least thefirst millennium BC, when it was likely wiped out by human activity.[3][4][5]
