Anyinam is a town and capital of theAtiwa East District located in theEastern Region ofGhana.[1][2][3][4][5]

Anyinam is the birthplace ofOsei Tutu. According toGus Casely-Hayford, "Today Anyinam remains sacred to theAsante." The village contains a shrine in commemoration of Osei Tutu's birth.[6]
