Antonio Catania (born 22 February 1952) is an Italian actor.
Born inAcireale,Province of Catania, Antonio Catania studied acting at the Drama School of thePiccolo Teatro inMilan.[1] After the graduation he started an intense stage career, often working withGabriele Salvatores with the stage company Compagnia dell'Elfo.[1][2]
After several minor roles, in the 1990s Catania started obtaining more significant roles, in films directed bySilvio Soldini,Carlo Verdone,Leone Pompucci,Nanni Moretti, andGabriele Salvatores.[2] Catania is also active in television, notably in the TV seriesZanzibar,Boris, andThe Bad Guy.
