Anton Andreyevich Miranchuk (Russian:Антон Андреевич Миранчук,IPA:[ɐnˈtonɐnˈdrʲe(j)ɪvʲɪtɕmʲɪrɐnˈtɕuk]; born 17 October 1995) is a Russian professionalfootballer who plays as anattacking midfielder forDynamo Moscow andRussia national team.
Born inSlavyansk-na-Kubani, Miranchuk joinedSpartak Moscow from his hometown football school Olymp. He was dismissed from the club because of weak physical abilities. After that, he and his twin brotherAleksei moved toLokomotiv Moscow.[2]
On 30 October 2013, Miranchuk made his competitive debut in senior football in aRussian Cup game againstRotor Volgograd replacingVictor Obinna in the 88th minute.[3]
On 2 February 2016, Miranchuk was sent on loan toEstonian clubLevadia Tallinn.[4] He made his debut for the new team on 2 April 2016, in a 1–1 home draw withNõmme Kalju.[5] On 30 June 2016, Miranchuk made his debut inUEFA Europa League, in a 1–1 draw withFaroese sideHB in a first qualifying round.[6] By the end of2016 Meistriliiga season, he scored 14 goals.[citation needed]
Miranchuk made his debut in theRussian Premier League forLokomotiv Moscow on 9 April 2017 in a game againstFC Rostov.[7] On 24 October 2018, he scored his firstUEFA Champions League goal in a 3–1 home defeat againstPorto in the2018–19 season.[8] On 27 October 2020, he scored a goal in a 1–2 home defeat againstBayern Munich in the2020–21 UEFA Champions League.[9] He scored again on 3 November againstAtlético Madrid in the same competition.[citation needed]
Miranchuk left Lokomotiv in July 2024 as a free agent.[10]
On 8 September 2024, Miranchuk signed a two-season contract withSwiss Super League clubSion.[11]
On 23 August 2025, Miranchuk returned to Russia and signed a two-year contract withDynamo Moscow.[12]
Miranchuk made his debut forRussia national football team on 7 October 2017 in a friendly game againstSouth Korea.[13]
On 11 May 2018, he was included in Russia's extended2018 FIFA World Cup squad.[14] On 3 June 2018, he was included in the finalized World Cup squad.[15] He did not make any appearances at the tournament as Russia was eliminated byCroatia in the quarterfinal shoot-out.[citation needed]
He is the identical twin brother ofAleksei Miranchuk, who is also his teammate on theRussia national team.[citation needed]
