TheAntipatrid dynasty (/ænˈtɪpətrɪd/;Ancient Greek:Ἀντιπατρίδαι) was aDorian Greek dynasty[1] of the ancientGreek kingdom ofMacedon founded byCassander, the son ofAntipater, who declared himselfKing of Macedon in 305 BC. This dynasty did not last long; in 294 BC it was swiftly overthrown by theAntigonid dynasty.
