Anthony Quinlan (born 16 October 1984) is a British actor fromSalford,England, known for his roles asGilly Roach in theChannel 4 soap operaHollyoaks andPete Barton in theITV soap operaEmmerdale.

Career

Quinlan played Gilly Roach in the Channel 4soap operaHollyoaks. He was nominated for "Sexiest Male" at the 2010Inside Soap Awards. He was nominated in the category of "Best Serial Drama Performance" at the 2011 National Television Awards; that same year, he was also nominated in the category of "Best Actor" at the British Soap Awards.[1]

On 5 November 2013, it was announced that Quinlan had joined the cast ofEmmerdale asPete Barton.[2][3] On 30 November 2019, Quinlan quit the soap and left in 2020.[4]

Personal life

From 2017 to 2018, Quinlan was in a relationship withStrictly Come Dancing professional dancer,Dianne Buswell.[5] Since January 2022, Quinlan has been in a relationship withHollyoaks andCoronation Street actress,Nikki Sanderson.[6]
