Anthony Brian Palfreman (born 27 August 1946) is anEnglish former first-classcricketer and cricket administrator.
Palfreman was born in the village ofRavenshead inNottinghamshire. He was educated atNottingham High School,[1] before going up toEmmanuel College, Cambridge.[2] While studying at Cambridge, Palfreman playedfirst-class cricket as anall-rounder forCambridge University in 1966–68, making sixteen appearances.[3] As a batsman he scored 432 runs at anaverage of 15.42, with two half centuries and a high score of 67.[4] As a right-armfast-medium bowler, he took 31 wickets at abowling average of 37.37, with onefive wicket haul of 5 for 63 againstEssex atBrentwood in 1966.[5][6] In addition to playing cricket at Cambridge, he also playedfootball forCambridge University A.F.C., gaining ablue.[7]
After graduating from Cambridge, Palfreman became a solicitor. He later served as the chairman of theNottinghamshire Cricket Board.[1]
