Anobit Technologies, Ltd. (Hebrew:אנוביט) was an Israelifabless designer offlash memory controllers.[1] They were acquired byApple in 2012 as they were the maker of a flash-memory drive component for theiPhone.[2]

The firm was founded in 2006 by Prof. Ehud Weinstein,Ariel Maislos, and Dr. Ofir Shalvi. It holds 65patents (24 granted and 41 pending),[3] including Memory Signal Processing technology.[4] It was headquartered inHerzliya, with anAmerican office inMarlborough, Massachusetts. Investors in the company included Boston-basedBattery Ventures (Scott Tobin).

Acquisition

Anobit was acquired on January 6, 2012 byApple Inc. for a reported $390 million.[5]
