Annabel Tollman (March 7, 1974[1] – June 5, 2013[2]) was a Belgian/British American fashionjournalist and editor ofInterview magazine.[3]
Annabel Tollman was born inBrussels, Belgium, and grew up inLondon andWestern New York.[4] She studied atCentral Saint Martins, located in London, UK.[4] After graduating from Central Saint Martins, Tollman moved to New York, where she furthered her studies at theParsons School of Design.
During her early career, Tollman was as an assistant to the British edition ofVogue magazine. After 12 years in this role, she became the magazine's fashion director. She was also the stylist and fashion director of aBravo realityseries.[5] Her clients wereScarlett Johansson,Mariah Carey,Mary-Kate, and Ashley Olsen.[6] In 2011,The Hollywood Reporter placed her at 21 on its list of the 25 Most Powerful Stylists inHollywood.[7] She was also the stylist and spokeswoman foreBay fashion.[8]
In 2010, she was voted one of the 50 most stylish New Yorkers byStyleCaster.[9]
Tollman died in her sleep in June 2013 at age 39. Apulmonary embolism reportedly caused her death as a result of ablood clot.[10]
