Anjana Sukhani (born 10 December 1978) is an Indian actress and model, who predominantly appears inHindi and a fewTelugu films and oneKannada film.
Anjana was born on 10 December 1978 to aSindhi Hindu family[1][2][3] inJaipur, to Preethi and Om Sukhani and has an older brother.[2][4] She received her master's degree fromCardiff Metropolitan University.[4]
Sukhani put her academic pursuits behind to pursue acting.[citation needed] During the early years of her career, she was cast in a television advertisement forCadbury Dairy Milk chocolates alongside the Bollywood superstarAmitabh Bachchan.[5] She was also noted for her performance in the remixed Hindi music video for the songGhar Jayegi. Even though she does not have a film industry background, she has landed sizeable roles, such as in the 2007 multi-starrer blockbuster filmSalaam-e-Ishq,[6] following which she starred inGolmaal Returns, a sequel to the 2006 hit filmGolmaal. Her other releases wereJai Veeru,Jashnn and her Kannada debut filmMaleyali Jotheyali alongsideGanesh andYuvika Chaudhary. She was cast inTollywood actorRavi Teja's filmDon Seenu marking her second film in Telugu afterNaa Oopiri (2005). In 2016, Anjana made her debut inMarathi cinema oppositeSwapnil Joshi inLaal Ishq,[7] aSanjay Leela Bhansali Production directed bySwapna Waghmare Joshi.[8]
