Ananimal track is an imprint left behind insoil,snow, ormud, or on some other ground surface, by an animal walking across it. Animal tracks are used byhunters intracking their prey and bynaturalists to identify animals living in a given area.[1]

Foot tracks of ancient and extinct creatures notablydinosaurs that have beenfossilized are of immense importance inarchaeology and studied to understand the lives and behavior of such creatures.
