Gary Gordon (born July 24, 1990) is an Americanprofessional wrestler. He is signed toWWE, where he performs on theSmackDownbrand under thering nameAngelo Dawkins. He is one-half of theStreet Profits withMontez Ford, where they are two-timeWWE Tag Team Champions, one-timeWorld Tag Team Champions, and one-timeNXT Tag Team Champions.

Early life

Gary Gordon was born on July 24, 1990 inFairfield, Ohio.[7] During hiscollegiate days, Gordon was a three-sport athlete, competing nationally inamerican football,wrestling, andtrack.[8]

Early years (2012–2017)

In October 2012, Gordon signed adevelopmental contract withWWE and was assigned to theWWE Performance Center, where he took thering name, Angelo Dawkins.[9] He made his in-ring debut at aNXThouse show on December 20, losing toSawyer Fulton.[10] On the June 19, 2013 episode ofNXT, he made his television debut, losing toSami Zayn.[11]

On August 28, 2015, Dawkins teamed withSawyer Fulton inDusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament, but the two were eliminated from the tournament byEnzo Amore and Colin Cassady.[12][13]

On the March 16, 2016 episode ofNXT, Dawkins teamed withKenneth Crawford in a loss to theHype Bros (Zack Ryder andMojo Rawley).[14]

The Street Profits (2017–present)

On the July 12, 2017 episode ofNXT, Dawkins and Kenneth Crawford, now renamed Montez Ford, started appearing in weeklyvignettes asThe Street Profits.[15][16] On the August 9 episode ofNXT, they made their return by defeating The Metro Brothers.[17] The Street Profits would go on a winning streak, defeating the likes of The Ealy Brothers,Riddick Moss andTino Sabbatelli, and local competitors.[18][19] On the January 17, 2018 episode ofNXT, The Street Profits suffered their first loss byThe Authors of Pain (Akam andRezar) to become number one contenders for theNXT Tag Team Championship.[20][21] Later on, they entered theDusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, where they would defeatHeavy Machinery (Otis Dozovic andTucker Knight) in the first round, but was eliminated by The Authors of Pain in the semifinals.[22][23] The Street Profits once again entered the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in 2019, but were defeated byMoustache Mountain (Trent Seven andTyler Bate) in the first round.[24][25]

On the May 1, 2019 episode ofNXT,The Viking Raiders (Erik andIvar) vacated the NXT Tag Team Championship and were challenged by The Street Profits, but the match ended in disqualification after The Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake andSteve Cutler), andOney Lorcan andDanny Burch got involved.[26] A four-way tag teamladder match for the NXT Tag Team Championship was later scheduled forNXT TakeOver: XXV, where they won the NXT Tag Team Championship for the first time.[27][28][29] They retained their title against The Forgotten Sons on the June 26 episode ofNXT and against Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch on the July 10 episode ofNXT, and againstThe Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish andKyle O'Reilly) atNXT TakeOver: Toronto.[30][31] On the August 28 episode ofNXT, they lost their title to The Undisputed Era, ending their reign at 88 days.[32] On the October 2 episode ofNXT, they failed to regain the championship from The Undisputed Era.[33]

Starting on July 1 episode ofRaw, The Street Profits started appearing on the show and doing various backstage segments, a move that was said to be done in order to appeal to younger audiences.[34] As part of theWWE draft, The Street Profits were drafted to theRawbrand, officially bringing them to main roster.[35] On the October 21 episode ofRaw, The Street Profits defeatedThe O.C. (Luke Gallows andKarl Anderson) in their debut match.[36] AtSurvivor Series, The Street Profits competed in a 10-teamInterbrandTag Team Battle Royal, where they were the last team eliminated by the eventual winnersDolph Ziggler andRobert Roode.[37] AtStarrcade, withRic Flair in their corner, The Street Profits would defeat Gallows and Anderson.[38]

On the February 17, 2020 episode ofRaw, afterKevin Owens and The Viking Raiders defeatedMurphy andAOP via disqualification due toSeth Rollins' interference, The Street Profits came out and aided Owens and The Viking Raiders by attacking Murphy and AOP while Rollins retreated.[39] Later, The Street Profits were scheduled to challenge Rollins and Murphy for theRaw Tag Team Championship atSuper ShowDown,[40] where they would be unsuccessful.[41] On the March 2 episode ofRaw, The Street Profits were given aLast Chance match, where, with the help of Owens, they would go on to win the Raw Tag Team Championship.[42] They successfully retained their title against Rollins and Murphy atElimination Chamber[43] and againstAngel Garza andAustin Theory atWrestleMania 36.[44] AtBacklash, The Street Profits were set to face The Viking Raiders, but the match did not start due to them brawling outside the building, being accosted byAkira Tozawa and a group ofninjas, and ending up in a dumpster.[45] On the June 22 episode of Raw, The Street Profits successfully defended their titles against The Viking Raiders.[46]

As part of the2020 Draft in October, Dawkins and Ford were drafted to theSmackDown brand.[47] They would then trade the Raw Tag Team Championship toThe New Day (Kofi Kingston andXavier Woods) - who had just been drafted to the Raw brand - in exchange for the latter team'sSmackDown Tag Team Championship.[48] This would make the Street Profits the second team to acquire theWWE Tag Team Triple Crown.[49][50] Upon moving toSmackDown, they began a feud with the team of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. On the December 18 episode ofSmackDown, the Street Profits successfully defended the titles against Roode and Ziggler. On the January 8, 2021 episode ofSmackDown, Ziggler and Roode defeated the Street Profits to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, ending their reign at a recorded 88 days. On the April 1 episode ofSmackDown, they failed to regain the titles in a fatal four-way match also involvingThe Mysterios andChad Gable andOtis. On the June 11 episode ofSmackDown, Ford suffered a partial rib fracture from Otis; the injury put Ford out of action for months. In September, The Street Profits began a feud with SmackDown Tag Team ChampionsThe Usos, leading to a match between the two teams atExtreme Rules on September 26, in which The Usos retained their titles. On the October 15 episode ofSmackDown, The Street Profits failed to win the titles against the Usos in a Street Fight.

During the2021 WWE Draft Angelo Dawkins alongsideMontez Ford were drafted back to the Raw roster. AtDay 1 on January 1, 2022, the Street Profits facedRK-Bro (Randy Orton andRiddle) for the Raw Tag Team Championship, but lost.[51] At theRoyal Rumblepay-per-view, on January 29, Dawkins entered theRoyal Rumble match at #10, but would be eliminated.[52] On the second night ofWrestleMania 38, on April 3, they once again failed to win the titles in a triple threat match also involvingAlpha Academy (Chad Gable andOtis).[53] On June 20, 2022, Angelo wrestled in singles competition on Monday Night RAW and defeatedJey Uso.[54] AtMoney in the Bank on July 2, The Street Profits failed to win theUndisputed WWE Tag Team Championship from The Usos.[55] Although Angelo was again victorious against Jey Uso in a rematch on Smackdown on July 15,[56] the Profits were unsuccessful in a rematch atSummerSlam on July 30 withJeff Jarrett as thespecial guest referee.[57] AtClash at the Castle on September 3, The Street Profits teamed withMadcap Moss to defeat Alpha Academy andAustin Theory during the pre-show.[58]

During the2023 WWE Draft Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford as The Street Profits we're drafted back to SmackDown. Weeks later a segments between The Street Profits andBobby Lashley, on the August 4 episode ofSmackDown, The Street Profits interrupted a tag team match betweenKarl Anderson and Luke Gallows andThe Brawling Brutes'Ridge Holland andButch by taking out the participants in the match, turningheel for the first time on the main roster.[59] The Street Profits then stood on the ramp with the returning Lashley to celebrate the beatdown.[60][61] The Street Profits and Lashley teamed up for a match for the first time to face theLatino World Order (LWO) in asix-man tag team match atFastlane. A day before the event onSmackDown, the trio took out the LWO'sCruz Del Toro andJoaquin Wilde to leave the LWO a man short for the match. At the event, a returningCarlito teamed up withRey Mysterio andSantos Escobar for the LWO to win the match.[62][63] On the November 24 episode ofSmackDown, The Street Profits failed to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship fromThe Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) after interference fromRhea Ripley, turning face once again.[64]

On the March 14 episode ofSmackDown, Dawkins and Ford defeated #DIY to win theWWE Tag Team Championship for the second time.[65] On the April 25 episode ofSmackDown, they successfully defended the titles against #DIY and Motor City Machine Guns in a critically acclaimedtables, ladders, and chairs match.[66][67]

On the July 11, 2025 episode of SmackDown! Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford lost the WWE Tag Team Championships toThe Wyatt Sick6 (Dexter Lumis andJoe Gacy).[68]

Evolve (2018–2019)

On October 28, 2018, The Street Profits made their first appearance atEvolve114, winning theEvolve Tag Team Championship by defeating The Doom Patrol.[69][70] They would successfully defend the titles against the likes of The WorkHorsemen,[71]AR Fox andLeon Ruff,[72]Austin Theory andHarlem Bravado,[73] and The Skulk.[74] AtEvolve 123, they lost the titles to The Unwanted.[75] AtEvolve 124, on March 16, 2019, they made their final Evolve appearance, teaming withVelveteen Dream to defeat The Unwanted in asix-man tag team match.[76]

As Angelo Dawkins, he made hisvideo game debut as a playable character inWWE 2K19, and has since appeared inWWE 2K20,[77][78]WWE 2K22,[79]WWE 2K23,[80]WWE 2K24, andWWE 2K25.[81]

Personal life

Gordon married Grace Russo on June 30, 2024.[4] They have two sons (born July 2020[5] and September 2024).[6]

On March 16, 2024 Gordon revealed that his mother had died.[82][83]

He is an avid supporter of theOhio State Buckeyes, theCincinnati Bengals, theLos Angeles Lakers, andReal Madrid.
