Andrew Lorimar Lochhead (9 March 1941 – 18 March 2022[1]) was a Scottish professionalfootballer who played as aforward.
Lochhead was born inMilngavie,Stirlingshire, Scotland. He started his career atBurnley and made his first team debut in 1960. He remains the only player to have scored five goals forthe Clarets on two occasions. On 26 December 1963, he scored four goals in a 6–1 win overManchester United atTurf Moor.
In 1968, he was sold toLeicester City and appeared in their1969 FA Cup Final 1–0 defeat againstManchester City.
He was sold toAston Villa after the final and played in the1971 Football League Cup Final for Villa. In 1972 following his contribution to the Villa's promotion to Division 2 (19 goals) he was voted the midlands footballer of the year in a write-in poll conducted by theBirmingham Evening Mail newspaper. In 1973, he was sold toOldham Athletic. He had a brief spell in America withDenver Dynamos before retiring.
