Androstenediol diacetate, or5-androstenediol 3β,17β-diacetate, also known asandrost-5-ene-3β,17β-diol 3β,17β-diacetate, is asyntheticanabolic-androgenic steroid and anandrogen ester – specifically, the C3β,17βdiacetatediester of5-androstenediol (androst-5-ene-3β,17β-diol) – which was never marketed.[1] The medication has been used with success to treatbreast cancer in women.[2]
