Andreas Nordebäck (born 12 March 2004) is aSwedishfigure skater. He is a two timeSwedish national champion (2023, 2026), the2022 Ice Challenge silver medalist, and the2022 Finlandia Trophy bronze medalist.

On the junior level, Nordebäck is the2022 JGP Czech Republic bronze medalist, a two-timeSwedish junior national champion, and finished in the top 10 at the2022 World Junior Figure Skating Championships.

Nordebäck was born on 12 March 2004 inSolna,Sweden, a municipality ofStockholm.[1]

Early career

Nordebäck began figure skating in 2007. During his early career, he was coached by Tanja Magnusson and Daniel Peinado, before eventually switching to Danil Efintsev.[1]

2017–18 season

Making his junior international debut, Nordebäck began the season by competing at the2017 Volvo Open Cup, where he placed fifth. He went on to compete at the2017 CS Tallinn Trophy, finishing sixth.[2]

At the2018 Swedish Junior Championships, Nordebäck won the bronze medal. He then won the gold medal at the2018 Nordic Junior Championships. He closed the season with fourth-place finish at the2018 International Challenge Cup.[2]

2018–19 season

Debuting on theJunior Grand Prix series, Nordebäck finished ninth at both the2018 JGP Czech Republic and2018 JGP Slovenia. He then won the silver medal at the2018 Golden Bear of Zagreb.[2]

At the2019 Swedish Junior Championships, Nordebäck won the gold medal. Competing at the2019 European Youth Olympic Festival, he finished fifth.[2]

Following the season, Nordebäck switched coaches from Danil Efintsev to Mélanie Joseph.[3]

2019–20 season

Nordebäck competed on theJunior Grand Prix series, finishing fourteenth at the2019 JGP Poland and fifteenth at the2019 JGP Italy.[2]

At the2020 Swedish Junior Championships, Nordebäck won the junior national title for the second year in a row. He then competed at the2020 Bavarian Open, where he placed seventh.[2]

2020–21 season

Nordebäck did not compete during this season.[2] He performed in the Exhibition Gala at the2021 World Championships inStockholm,Sweden.[4]

2021–22 season

Competing on theJunior Grand Prix series, Nordebäck placed ninth at the2021 JGP Russia and fifth at the2021 JGP Austria. He then went on to win the gold medal at the2021 Tallinn Trophy and at the2022 Nordic Championships.[2]

Selected to compete at the2022 World Junior Championships inTallinn,Estonia, Nordebäck finished tenth.[2]

2022–23 season: Senior debut, first National title

Nordebäck began the season by competing on theJunior Grand Prix series, winning the bronze medal at the2022 JGP Czech Republic and seventh at the2022 JGP Italy. Making his senior international debut, Nordebäck won the bronze medal at the2022 CS Finlandia Trophy and silver medal at the2022 CS Ice Challenge.[2]

At the2023 Swedish Championships, Nordebäck won his first senior national title. He also went on to win gold at the2023 Nordic Championships.[2]

Selected to compete at the2023 European Championships inEspoo,Finland, Nordebäck finished ninth. He then went on to compete at the2023 World Junior Championships inCalgary,Alberta, and placed eleventh.[2]

Making his World Championship debut at the2023 World Championships inSaitama,Japan, Nordebäck finished eighteenth.[2]

2023–24 season

Nordebäck began the season with an eleventh-place finish at the2023 CS Finlandia Trophy. On theGrand Prix, he was twelfth of twelve skaters at the2023 Skate America. In the second half of the season Nordebäck came twenty-second at the2024 European Championships and twenty-third at the2024 World Championships. Between the two events, Nordebäck won the2024 Nordic Championships for a second consecutive time.[2]

2024–25 season

Nordebäck started the season by competing on the2024–25 ISU Challenger Series, finishing fourth at the2024 CS Trophée Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur and eighth at the2024 CS Tallinn Trophy.[2] In December, he competed at the2025 Swedish Championships, finishing second toCasper Johansson.[5]

Going on to compete at the2025 European Championships inTallinn, Estonia, Nordebäck finished the event in eleventh place overall. He then competed at the Road to 26 Trophy, a test event for the2026 Winter Olympics, where he placed sixth.[6]

In March, Nordebäck competed at the2025 World Championships inBoston, Massachusetts, United States, where he finished in seventeenth place.[5][6] His placement won Sweden a quota for men's singles skating at the2026 Winter Olympics.[7]

2025–26 season: Milano Cortina Olympics

Nordebäck opened his season by competing on the2025–26 ISU Challenger Series, placing seventh at the2025 CS Lombardia Trophy and twelfth at the2025 CS Denis Ten Memorial Challenge. He subsequently competed at the2025 Finlandia Trophy, where he finished in ninth place.[6]

In December, Nordebäck won his second national title at the2026 Swedish Championships. The following month, he finished in twelfth place at the2026 European Championships inSheffield, England,United Kingdom.[6]
