Andranovory is a town and commune (Malagasy:kaominina) inMadagascar. It belongs to thedistrict ofToliara II, which is a part ofAtsimo-Andrefana Region. The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 31,000 in 2001 communecensus.[2]
Primary and junior level secondary education are available in town. The majority 60% of the population of the commune are farmers, while an additional 35% receives their livelihood from raising livestock. The most important crops aremaize andcotton; alsocassava is an important agricultural product. Services provide employment for 5% of the population.[2]
Andranovory is situated at theroute nationale No. 7 (Tuléar-Fianarantsoa) at 70 km from Tuléar and 64 km fromSakaraha[3] and its intersection withRoute nationale 10.
