André Hoffmann (born 28 February 1993) is a German professionalfootballer who plays as adefensive midfielder orcentral defender forBulgarian First League clubCSKA 1948 Sofia.
Until 2010 he played in the youth system ofMSV Duisburg before he was promoted in the summer of 2010.[1]
On 3 January 2013, he left MSV Duisburg forHannover 96.[2] On 20 April 2013, he scored his first goal for Hannover 96 in a 1–6 defeat againstFC Bayern Munich.[3]
Hoffmann joinedFortuna Düsseldorf in 2017 and helped the club achieve promotion to theBundesliga during the2017-18 season after finishing top of the2. Bundesliga.
On 8 July 2022, Düsseldorf head coachDaniel Thioune appointed him as team captain ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.[4]
