Randolph "Andoy" Lastrilla Ranay is a Filipino director and theater practitioner.[1] He has directed several television series forABS-CBN, includingThe Broken Marriage Vow (2022),Dirty Linen (2023), andSenior High (2023-2024).[2][3] He has also directed and appeared in multiple stage productions.[4][5]

Early life and education

Randolph Lastrilla Ranay is fromIlocos Norte.[5] He studiedTheater Arts at theUniversity of the Philippines Diliman,[1] and was associated with the university's theater group, Dulaang UP.[6]

Controversy

During the production of the seriesFirst Time in 2010, Ranay reportedly used offensive language toward actorJake Vargas.[7]GMA Network later issued a statement, saying that Ranay had apologized for his actions.[8]
