Amy Diamond (born 8 February 1988) is an Englishactress,singer, formerglamour model, andPage 3 girl.
Diamond was born in Widnes, Cheshire.[1] She currently lives inLondon. Diamond studied atSt Peter and St Paul's Catholic High School and then went on to studyperforming arts atThe Hammond School,Chester.[2][3]
As a glamour model, Diamond has posed for Britishlads' mags such asNuts[4][5] andLoaded[6] as well as tabloid newspaperThe Sun.[4] Diamond has also modelled as part of promotional work for brands such asAnn Summers.[7] In 2009, she posed outside the BritishHouses of Parliament painted with the colours of theEuropean flag as part of a publicity stunt forLibertas.[8]
In 2010, Diamond took part in theBBC talent-searchOver the Rainbow, which aimed to find an actress to playDorothy in an upcoming production ofThe Wizard of Oz.[4] Diamond made it through to become one of the top eleven finalists in the competition.[4] In the first week of live performances for the public vote, she sang a rendition ofFergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry" but was eliminated after the vote andAndrew Lloyd Webber's decision.[4][9] Diamond also took part in a group performance ofLove Machine byGirls Aloud with contestants Bronte Barbe, Emilie Fleming, andJessica Robinson[4][10] and in the final show, performed with the former eight Dorothys in a group performance ofEmpire State of Mind (Part II) Broken Down byAlicia Keys.
Later, in 2010, Diamond was cast as "Janet" in a production of themusicalThe Drowsy Chaperone atUpstairs at The Gatehouse.[11]
She has danced oncruise ships, and she also had a small part in theBBC One seriesHustle.[4]
Diamond currently works as a professional singer.[12]
