Gray's lark (Ammomanopsis grayi) is a species oflark in the familyAlaudidae. It is found in south-western Africa in its naturalhabitat of hotdeserts.[2]
Gray's lark was originally described as a species within the genusAlauda. It was then placed in the sister genusAmmomanes until re-classified in 2009 by the IOC into themonotypic genusAmmomanopsis.[3] Some authorities still consider the species asAmmomanes grayi.[4] Other names for Gray's lark includeGray's desert lark andGray's sand lark.
