Alto Gállego (Aragonese:Alto Galligo) is acomarca located in the north of theautonomous community ofAragón,Spain. It occupies practically the entirety of the upper basin of theRío Gállego.
Historically the comarca was a part of the area known as Jacetania, the original nucleus of the oldcounty of Aragón. The historical territories integrated into that area were theTena Valley, the lands surroundingBiescas, and theSerrablo.
Today, Alto Gállego borders with the comarca ofJacetania to the West, theSobrarbe to the East, theHoya de Huesca to the South,France to the North.
