Alston's mouse opossum (Marmosa alstoni), also known asAlston's opossum, is a medium-sizedpouchlessmarsupial of the familyDidelphidae.[2] It isarboreal andnocturnal, inhabiting forests fromBelize to northernColombia. The main components of its diet areinsects andfruits, but it may also eat smallrodents,lizards, andbirdeggs. It was formerly assigned to the genusMicoureus, which was made a subgenus ofMarmosa in 2009.[3]
