Allison Scagliotti (/ˌskæliˈti/; born September 21, 1990)[1] is an American actress, musician and director. Her television roles include appearing inDrake & Josh,Warehouse 13, andStitchers. She performs as a musician under the name La Femme Pendu.

Early life

Scagliotti's great-grandparents emigrated to the United States from Italy throughEllis Island.[2] She moved with her family toMandeville, Louisiana at a young age.[3] At age five, she joined her Louisiana school's, Tchefuncte Middle School, talent and drama program.[4][5]

When Scagliotti was 11, she was working with an acting coach who encouraged her to try auditioning for pilot season in Los Angeles.[4] She booked a pilot for a sitcom withChevy Chase which was filmed in New York.[4] Scagliotti moved to Los Angeles for her acting career.[5]

Scagliotti studied film atNew York University, though she never finished her degree.[6][7] She later obtained a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Music Studies throughBerklee College of Music's online program.[8] She is the first cousin of Kevin Pfeffer, the lead singer of Five Minutes to Freedom, and Alex Scagliotti, NationalWakeboard Champion.[9]

Scagliotti's small television roles includeOne Tree Hill,CSI, and theNickelodeon seriesZoey 101.[10][11][12][13]

Scagliotti landed her first recurring role as Mindy Crenshaw onDrake & Josh, Josh's rival and later girlfriend.[7][14] She appeared in eight episodes from 2004 to 2007.[13][15] She reprised her role in the spin-off movie,Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh.[16] Her first lead role was as Maddie in the 2005 short filmRedemption Maddie.[17]

She appeared asJayna, the female Wonder Twin, in the episode "Idol" inthe ninth season ofSmallville in 2009.[18] She helped co-host SyFy'sGhost Hunters Live onHalloween 2010.[19][20]

Scagliotti portrayed the characterClaudia Donovan in theSyfy seriesWarehouse 13.[7] Her character was introduced early in the premiere season in 2009 and she appeared in most of the remaining episodes through 2014 (though credited as a guest star until season two).[15][21] Her character crossed over toEureka when she guest-starred in the season four episode "Crossing Over".[22]

She appeared in the 2011 indie filmLosers Take All, set in the 1980s rock music scene.[23][24]

In December 2012, Scagliotti appeared in the lead role of Michelle, a struggling actress, in Darren Caulley's playUnhealthy that premiered December 4 atHERE Arts Center inNew York City.[15][25] She appeared in the three seasons ofFreeform'sStitchers as Camille, a main character, from 2015 to 2017.[7][26][27] Scagliotti also appeared in the seriesThe Vampire Diaries as Georgie in a recurring role during the show's eighth and final season in 2016.[26][28]

In 2014, Scagliotti joined the advisory board ofSci-Fest LA, the first annual Los Angeles Science Fiction One-Act Play Festival, held in May 2014.[29]

From 2015 to 2018, Scagliotti was in the band Nice Enough People along withDrake and Josh co-starJerry Trainor.[27][30][31][32] In 2016, she appeared as a guitar player in the music video "Some Are Girls" for Maxie Dean.[33]

La Femme Pendu

On June 21, 2019, Scagliotti released her first solo EP,All Them Witches, under the pseudonym La Femme Pendu.[34] Scagliotti's first album,Absolute Horror, was released on May 1, 2020. It was followed by three EPs that same year,Bonne anniversaire a moi,The Legend of the River King, andLes Ballet Tragiques. Her second full-length album,VAMPYR, was released on October 22, 2021, and featured a guest appearance by vocalistDamien Moyal.[35] Scagliotti next provided guest vocals to Moyal's bandDamien Done's song "Bounty and Blight", which was released as a single on April 21, 2023.[36]

Scagliotti appeared in a 2010 episode ofThe Nerdist Podcast hosted byChris Hardwick.[37] She also appeared as a guest star onGeek & Sundry'sTableTop in 2013, hosted byWil Wheaton,[15][38] and as a guest on the showDestination Truth in 2010 and 2011.[39]
