Allenestrol, orallenoestrol, also known asα,α-dimethyl-β-ethylallenolic acid or asmethallenestrilphenol, is asynthetic,nonsteroidalestrogen and aderivative ofallenolic acid that was never marketed.[1][2][3] Amethylether of allenestrol,methallenestril (methallenestrol), is also an estrogen, but, in contrast to allenestrol, has been marketed.[4]
