Allen Chapman (born August 18, 1974) is an Americansoccer referee employed byPRO. He primarily officiates inMajor League Soccer.
During an August 2016USL match in New Jersey, Chapman became the firstvideo assistant referee to be used during a professional match.[1] Chapman was namedMLS Referee of the Year in 2017 and 2019.[2] He was the referee forMLS Cup 2017 andMLS Cup 2019.
Chapman is also a former player and coach.[3] He played professionally for theArizona Sahuaros between 2000 and 2002.[4] As of 2019, Chapman is a resident ofUtah.[2][5]
