All India Jharkhand Party is apolitical party inIndia.[1] The party was founded byDavid Munzni on May 19, 1968 after merger ofJharkhand Party withIndian National Congress in 1963.[2]Bagun Sumbrai[3] was chosen as president andN.E. Horo as general secretary.
The party participated in two Lok Sabha elections in1971 and1972, two Bihar Legislative Assembly elections in1972 and1977, and three elections in Odisha in1971,1974, and1977 alongside the Jharkhand Party. The membership was predominantlyChristian, but there was also a large group of non-Christians. The party was later crippled through ethnic fractionalism.
