Alexandre "Alex" Czerniatynski (born 28 July 1960) is a Belgian formerfootballer who played as astriker.

Club career

Czerniatynski played forCharleroi,Antwerp,Anderlecht,Standard, Antwerp again,KV Mechelen,Germinal Ekeren andTilleur-Liège. He was part of the team when Antwerp played its last European final againstParma in 1993, as well as in that of Anderlecht for its two European finals in 1983 and 1984 (scoring in the latter). Anderlecht played its last European final in 1990.

International career

Czerniatynski played 31 games, scoring six goals, forBelgium. He was also in the Belgian team for the1982, scoring one goal, and1994 World Cups as well as for theEuro 1984 but he did not play a game in that tournament.

Coaching career

On 27 April 2009,K.S.K. Beveren officials sacked Czerniatynski as coach. On 6 June 2010, it was announced that Czerniatynski would become the new head coach ofOlympic Charleroi.
