Alexandra Szacka is aCanadian television journalist, who has been a foreign correspondent forCBC News in both the English and French divisions.[1] She has been the network's correspondent inNew York City,Moscow[2] andParis.

Szacka's career began atRadio-Québec and has earned her numerous awards, including the Prix Judith-Jasmin and aPrix Gémeaux.[2] She earned a master's degree inanthropology fromUniversité Laval and is fluent in five languages:English,French,Spanish,Polish andRussian.[2]

Born inPoland, she is the sister of writerJoanna Gruda and journalistAgnès Gruda.[3]
