Alex Raymond Douglas (born 17 August 2001) is a Swedish professionalfootballer who plays as acentre-back forEkstraklasa clubLech Poznań and theSweden national team.
Douglas is a youth product ofIF Brommapojkarna, and finished his development withHammarby's youth academy at the age of 14. On 6 August 2019, he moved to the Spanish clubSan Roque de Lepe in theTercera División.[3] On 2 April 2020, he returned to Sweden withStockholm in theEttan division. The following season, he moved toHammarby Talang FF, where he made 20 appearances.[4] On 22 March 2022, he moved toVästerås SK in theSuperettan on a 3-year contract.[5] He spent his first season in 2022 on loan withIFK Eskilstuna, but returned in his second season to Västerås and helped them win the2023 Superettan and earned promotion to theAllsvenskan.[6]
On 10 July 2024, Douglas moved toEkstraklasa clubLech Poznań.[7]
Douglas was born in Sweden to a Ghanaian father and Swedish mother.[8] He was called up to the seniorSweden national team for a set ofUEFA Nations League matches in September 2024.[9] He made his international debut in the starting line-up for a 1–3 away win overAzerbaijan on 5 September 2024.[10]
