Aleksandar Vasiljević (born 8 July 1938) is a Serbian retiredmajor general and the head of theCounterintelligence Service ofYugoslavia. Vasiljević was instrumental in theJBTZ trial as he was theinterrogation official responsible to talking withJanez Janša, which centered on Slovene dissidents and the publishing of sensitive information in the youth magazineMladina. Vasiljević retired in May 1992 and was arrested for his role in an interview with the weekly publicationNIN.[1] He was again deputy head between March 1999 and 2001.[2] He testified in theHague trial againstSlobodan Milošević.[3]
