Alejandro Rubén Apud Varela (born 22 October 1967) is a Uruguayanfootball manager and former player who played as agoalkeeper.
Born inMontevideo, Apud played as a goalkeeper for Uruguayan clubsCentro Atlético Fénix,Club Nacional de Football,Liverpool F.C. (Montevideo) andRampla Juniors.[1]
After retiring, Apud became a football manager. He ledSud América, Liverpool F.C. (Montevideo) andAtenas de San Carlos,[2] before being appointed manager ofBoston River during its first season in theUruguayan Primera División, earning a place in the2017 Copa Sudamericana.[3] On April 17, 2024 he replacedMario Saralegui as manager ofDanubio F.C.
