The nameAlcon (/ˈælkɒn/;Ancient Greek: Ἄλκων) orAlco can refer to a number of people fromclassical mythology:

Alcon, a Laconian prince as the son of KingHippocoon, usurper of Tyndareus. He was one of the hunters of theCalydonian Boar. Alcon was killed, together with his father and brothers, byHeracles, and had aheroon atSparta.^[1]
Alcon, a son ofErechtheus, king ofAthens,^[2] and father ofPhalerus theArgonaut.^[3]Gaius Valerius Flaccus represents him as such a skillful archer that once, when a serpent had entwined his son, he shot the serpent without hurting his child.^[4]Virgil mentions an Alcon, whomServius calls aCretan, and of whom Servius relates almost the same story as that which Valerius Flaccus ascribes to Alcon, the son of Erechtheus.^[5]
Alcon, son ofAbas, king of theAbantes inEuboea and thus, brother toArethousa andDias.^[6] He may also be a brother toCanethus^[7] andChalcodon,^[8] father ofElephenor.
Alcon, a son ofAres, and another one of the hunters of theCalydonian Boar, according toHyginus.^[9]
Another Alcon is mentioned byOvid as a craftsman who made a wonderful mixing bowl given toAeneas byAnius king ofDelos.^[10]
Another, otherwise unknown personage, of the same name occurs inCicero.^[11]
