Alaska Senate district R is one of 20 districts of theAlaska Senate. It has been represented by RepublicanMike Cronk since 2025. District R is located inThe Bush and encompasses the entirety ofAlaska's 35th House of Representatives district and36th House of Representatives district, including theYukon–Koyukuk Census Area,Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, andCopper River Census Area.^[2]

From 2013 to 2022, the district covered portions ofKetchikan Gateway Borough,Prince of Wales-Hyder Census Area,Sitka,Wrangell,Petersburg, andHoonah–Angoon Census Area - these areas are now encompassed bydistrict A.
