TheAlan Turvey Trophy,[1] also known as theVelocity Cup under a sponsorship deal, formerly theIsthmian League Cup, is afootballknock-out cup competition organised by theIsthmian League in England.
Isthmian League Chairman and President Alan Turvey was amongthe FA's "150 Grassroots Heroes" who were presented in 2013, during the 150-year celebrations of the Football Association, with a specially minted medal byPrince William.[2] In June 2015, Turvey stepped down from the League after nearly 60 years involvement with football.[1] The Isthmian League cup was renamed in his honour. In 2024 the competition was named theVelocity Cup under a sponsorship deal.
