Al Bayda Governorate (Arabic:مُحَافَظَة ٱلْبَيْضَاءMuḥāfaẓat Al-Bayḍāʾ), also speltAl-Baidhah orBeida, is one of thegovernorates (muhafazat) ofYemen. It is located near the centre of the country, around the town ofAl Bayda. Its population, according to the 2004 Yemeni census, was 571,778. In 2011, the population was estimated to be 895,000.[1]
