Aieta is a town andcomune in theprovince of Cosenza in theCalabria region of southernItaly. The name of the town comes from theGreek termaetòs, αετός, meaning "eagle".[3] The town is located within thePollino National Park, and its historical center is at 524 metres of altitude.[4] It is one ofI Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy").[5]
